TRABCOL, short for Trade Bridge Cooperative Society Limited, was founded in October 2022 in Bamenda. From its inception, TRABCOL aimed to serve as a bridge for trade, development, and community upliftment, particularly focusing on the Kong region. Recognizing the rich cultural heritage and potential of Kong, the organization established its headquarters there, branding it as "The Coffee Village" – a nod to its agricultural roots and future aspirations.

The formation of TRABCOL coincided with the appointment of Kwa Franklin Ghong as the quarter head of Kong. This dual milestone marked a significant turning point for the village, positioning it for growth and development under visionary leadership. The alignment of TRABCOL's establishment and Kwa Franklin Ghong's appointment set the stage for a collaborative effort toward community advancement.

TRABCOL is a grassroots organization dedicated to fostering economic and social development in Kong. With a diverse portfolio that includes agro-industry, real estate, tourism, and community outreach programs, TRABCOL seeks to create job opportunities and empower the youth in the community. The organization's commitment to gender inclusivity ensures that all members of the community can participate in and benefit from its initiatives.

The management structure of TRABCOL comprises a general membership and a board of directors responsible for overseeing its operations. This governance model ensures that the organization remains responsive to the needs of the community while maintaining accountability and transparency in its activities.

One of TRABCOL's flagship initiatives is the Kong Development Project (KDP), which it oversees in full cooperation with the Leadership of the Kong Fondom. This project aims to transform Kong into a thriving hub of economic activity and cultural preservation. TRABCOL collaborates with various stakeholders, including the local administration, traditional authorities, community elites, and foreign investors from the United States, to realize this vision.

As TRABCOL continues to grow, its impact on the Kong community becomes increasingly evident. By addressing critical needs such as employment, education, healthcare, and sustainable development, TRABCOL plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of Kong and its residents.
